The name Gweal is more than a reference, it’s a return to our founder Greg Mace’s roots.
WHERE IT BEGAN
​“As a boy growing up on the island of Bryher in the Isles of Scilly, I would regularly climb to the top of Gweal Hill, one of the highest points on the island. From there, I could look out across to Gweal Island just offshore, and down to the Hell Bay Hotel, the place where my love for the hospitality industry began at the age of eleven.

That view - expansive, connected, quietly powerful - shaped how I see the world. From the summit of Gweal Hill, you could understand how everything fits together: the people, the place, the rhythm, and the purpose.
